about

“Mystic Mixness” is a self-released catwalk showcase of Jenny Moore’s Mystic Business, featuring a home recording by each member of the 6 piece punk-choral-xylo-trance ensemble. The collection serves as an introduction to the band, who are all musicians and artists in their own right: Rachel also plays with Trash Kit, Bas Jan, Bamboo and Rozi Plain; Jenny, Jeni and Rubie are all members of F*Choir, with Rubie also releasing their debut solo album in march; Nandi is a prolific dancer, actor and choreographer for stage, film and music videos; Louise is an alumna of Gaggle and F*Choir, and is currently working on a solo musical project.

Mystic Mixness takes pride in the bits and pieces we collage together in our bedrooms, on our phones, in our various musical journeys. It peeks into the polyphonic, a snapshot of us being alone but together in 2020.

The EP follows their single “I Am Afraid”, released on Lost Map records on the 26th November. The track was chosen by Steve Lamacq as his “Lamacq Livener” track of the week on BBC 6 Music.

untamed joy of communal singing, and features members of Bas Jan, Trash Kit, F*Choir and Bamboo as well
as solo singer-songwriter Rubie.
